The Band Lint Poster

LINT started in 1991 in Little Compton, RI as an idea by Tadpole to start a band with his schoolmate Flanagan after Flanagan had purchased a guitar. Tadpole then contacted Wild Bill another friend of his that he had met through their mutual interest in seeing live music in the Providence RI club scene. The three began jamming together at Wild Bill's house covering Neutral Nation songs. Missing a percussion section Tadpole then looked to his brother Sal G who had been the bass player in the band Fatal Remedy and was currently jamming with his friend and ex-Fatal Remedy guitarist Justin. Justin had been playing in the hardcore band 3rd Age that was starting to come to an end. The five guys started playing together every Saturday afternoon in Justin's basement, with Justin moving from guitar over to drums. He used a drum set that had been left in his basement from 3rd Age. The guys agreed to name the band LINT and stickers and T-shirts with the bands logo were soon to be seen all over town. Playing cover songs and some original tunes to some friends and family became a Saturday ritual over the summer of 1992. But by the time September rolled around and school began. Girls, school and work schedules seem to consume their Saturdays and LINT slowly came to an end.
